What to expect

Here in a Manger is a guided tour of the Christmas story! It starts at the North Pole where you can help the elves with their work. Santa himself will teach the true meaning of Christmas and send you on a journey to meet the precious new baby. Along the way, you will see the wise men traveling from afar and meet the shepherds who saw the heavens open. As you walk through the city of Bethlehem, you can interact with the inn keeper, Mary, and Joseph to hear their stories and finally see the manger where He lays.

At the end, you can expect hot chocolate and mingling at our donation stand. The recommended donation is $5 per person. All of the proceeds this year go directly to Watered Gardens Ministries. Please visit wateredgardens.org to learn about all the amazing work they do for our community! We are confident that you will enjoy your experience with us.

The Founders

Here in a Manger was founded by Stevie and Coli Dugdale. They live in Jasper County, Missouri with their 2 1/2 beautiful children Maddy, Kenna, and Noah coming soon. Stevie and Coli love the Christmas season and all the joy it brings. They wanted a way to give back to the community and help local families focus on Jesus Christ during the Christmas season! With that in mind, and with the combined creative minds of dozens of family members and friends, Here in a Manger was born.

The inaugural year of Here in a Manger was a huge success and received lots of amazing feedback from the community. Staffed almost entirely by family members, Here in a Manger welcomed 350 people to the Civil War Ranch for this meaningful Christmas experience. They also donated about $1,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities to help local families! This year they expect more than twice the attendance as they grow and improve the event.

Please join us this year in our mission to serve our community and put Christ at the center of the season!
